- Phase 1 - High Volume Prospecting - In this initial phase, the objective is to identify the people who have interest in your product or service. Those with interest will take action in order to learn more about you, and become a prospective customer. By separating themselves from other recipients who had no interest, this group is ‘opting in’ to your general proposition. They will advance to your web site to learn more about what’s offered, and will receive information via email to better inform and educate them on the value you offer. - Phase 2 - Confirming YOUR Audience - Once initial interest has been expressed, we want to persuade the recipient to take further action and identify themselves as belonging to the audience you want to capture. Typically, there are two different transactions that are desirable here. Either the recipient signs up to your newsletter or generates a sales lead (a new Prospect!), or the recipient makes their initial purchase of your product or service (a new Customer!). In each instance, the recipient is now a “double opt-in”, and can be further cultivated over time.
- Phase 3 - Ongoing Marketing & Selling - Through their actions, the recipient has become either a qualified Prospect or a Customer, and a member of your audience! And they have sufficient interest in your company and offerings to receive regular marketing correspondence. This group will now be looking out for your communications! And you will have numerous opportunities to deliver value, retain their interest and continue to make the most of this newfound relationship. In this phase, “newsletter” type messaging and weekly or monthly sales offers and announcements are commonplace. The objective is to either close the initial sale you have been presenting or up-sell and cross-sell the recipient towards other offerings.

- It takes at least 15 days for campaigns to gather enough momentum to produce any results. Revenue from transactions & sales lead submittals should increase beyond 30 days.
