One of our most valuable contributions to our Clients involves reviewing your existing Customers and Prospects. Based on what we see, we’re often able to show our Clients simple new ways to make the most of their existing databases in order to generate new sales. With data, the two main issues we look at are: 1. what reliable sources are there for the data that will most benefit your efforts? 2. where and how do you store and manage the data? From a sales and marketing perspective, the more information you retain and manage about a Suspect or Prospect, the easier it is to determine if they are worth pursuing as a Customer or not. For example, if your company provides IT services to businesses that have between 5 and 50 employees, you know it is not a good use of resources to pursue either a sole proprietor or a worldwide conglomerate with 20,000 employees. We help our Clients find the best resources available for accessing the most accurate data for their particular needs. Whether the information comes from a large data portal, a data broker, an association database or some other resource, it must then be properly loaded into a sales and marketing database system. This category of software solutions are commonly referred to as Sales Force Automation (SFA) or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, and we have experience implementing and customizing industry leading products like ACT! and SalesForce.com. The information in the system is constantly changing as Prospects receive information and move through the Sales Process toward becoming a Customer or a Non-Prospect (or some other appropriate designation).
